So we're in the shop wrapping Christmas presents for family and have the History Channel on in the background. Except their coverage of September 11th, 2001 cannot possibly stay in the background. As they show the towers coming down, and show one guy getting the word that the Pentagon was hit, I got that familiar rage and sadness. Just as real as that morning.
This, too, will be something that I never will be free of. Just like the Vietnam war.
