OK, you techie types. I'm looking for a good command line reference for Win2K and WinXP.

It's been a while since the DOS days, and point and click has made me somewhat lazy. Then the other day I learned how to do a trace route on a website. cool Command line rocks!

Now I want to learn more. So what are your best resources for hidden gems like the one above?

I think there's a command line reference by O'Reilly at bookstores.

You'd be surprised how much you can do via the command line in Windows.  Add/delete users, manage domains, control network functions, etc, etc.  You can almost do all tasks via the command line.

I just found this: http://www.ss64.com/nt/
Or a book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0735620385/104-2839740-4542337?v=glance&n=283155&v=glance
Another book (the o'reilly one): http://safari.oreilly.com/?XmlId=0-596-00148-7

You really want a powerful command line interface for a Windows box?  Get yourself to cygwin.com and download.  It is a unix-linux-type suite of aplications built on the Windows API.  Cygwin has kept me from reformatting my work laptop and installing linux on it.

If you have problems, drop me a line.  My contact data is at THR.

Advice:
You are given several options ion your download.  Choose "Download to machine & install later" option.

"Belief" is the acceptance of a hypothesis in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
The plural of anecdote is not "data"
