ARMA uses steel.

But we don't really do any sparring or anything, because the whole point of the art is to replicate kill strokes. You cannot really spar with someone when each and every motion is intended to either defend against or deliver a death blow. Medieval and Renaissance warfare isn't something that can be replicated as a "sport".
