Interesting that they don't show revolver production on the last two years.  Did they combine the Pistol and Revolover categories?

I'd suspect at least a portion of the miscellaneous firearms include NFA items.

This reports are always a fun project to sort thru
The BATFE records them by license number and saves the chart out as a pdf

there is an interesting caveat:

yeah!! Gov't we are important bold uppercase text formats!

so unlike every other legal report, in this document, the receivers are counted WITH the complete rifles

I usually spend an evening pushing the pdf text into columns in excel and then i can sort by more relevant methods
such as creating a top 100 list by # of guns produced

KEYSTONE SPORTING ARMS INC... oh the Crickett... That's a lot of kids getting cricketts!  :O

LEGACY SPORTS INTERNATIONAL .. Importers of Howa and others. Big umbrella brand. Haven't heard of many though. Cheap stuff through sporting goods stores?

Why the break-down of revolvers, but not other types of pistols?  Or does ATF seriously not understand that pistol = handgun, regardless of action type?

I'm guessing machine guns fall under miscellaneous firearms. BAE Systems makes a vehicle mounted FN MAG variant, and wouldn't be surprised if they made a few of those here for contract/prototype purposes.

I guess what I saw is that rifles numbers are staying the same, shotguns declined, and pistols have increased a lot.  The reasons for this could raise a lot of discussion.  Increasing numbers of people in urban areas, increasing concealed carry permits, etc...
