Well, they'll have power.  Whether or not they have enough food, medicine, ammo, tp, etc. to last that long is another question entirely.  If they are truly self-sufficient, they'll notice an unusual aurora and just go back to chopping wood.

LOL, ammo they got, spent a few grand in 2000, still has cases of 9 & 556.

I hope this doesnt happen on a Tuesday. I'm busy that day.

The 12th is a Wednesday and the 21st is Friday.... I disremember which of those days the world's supposed to end.  I'll have to check my daytimer.  =D
