Billy Mays found dead
« on: June 28, 2009, 12:57:58 PM »
This is 4 "celebrities" in a week.  :O  =(

His style was a bit obnoxious, but he was a good salesman IMO.  The few times I caught his show, Pitchmen, I found his approach to sales/marketing interesting.

Dunno, but they won't have to color his beard or hair for the open casket, will they?

Wow, they're dropping like flies.  I wonder what the autopsy will show?
RIP, Billy.

CNN reports that he got bonked hard in the head during that jet landing the other day when the nose wheel collapsed.

My money says bleeding in the brain (Epidural Hematoma), same as Natasha Richardson.

I'm sure he was a nice guy, but I hated his commercials.
I would try to keep the tv quiet for sleeping roomies when
I was on a night schedule, his commercials would come on and all of a sudden...
THERE WOULD BE REALLY LOUD YELLING IN THE LIVING ROOM

i warmed up to him a bit when i saw "pitchmen" the other day. i used to think of him as an obnoxious talking head on the teevee. and now, he's dead. that's really too bad.

Which one was that?

I liked the guy. Saw an interview of him on 20/20 or some news show. He's a good saleman.

Ah, found it. USAirways hard landing in Tampa. Blew a tire, but no gear collapse. Still, it was hard enough to knock luggage out of the overhead bins.

If that caused his death, I wonder how it will play out.

Farrah Fawcett dead!

Ed McMann dead!

Michael Jackson dead!

But wait! There's more!....

RIP to all of them.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Now he's shouting in heaven.

I really hope nobody else I've heard of kicks it for a while.  Not that death is funny, but this is getting ridiculous.  =(

How on earth did Keith Richards manage to survive all of these people?
"Human existence being an hallucination containing in itself the secondary hallucinations of day and night (the latter an insanitary condition of the atmosphere due to accretions of black air) it ill becomes any man of sense to be concerned at the illusory approach of the supreme hallucination known as death."

*Upon discovering that Del Preston sleeps upside down*
Garth: How can you sleep like that?
Del Preston: Listen, sonny Jim. Sleeping like this will add ten years to your life. I learned it from Keith Richards when I toured with the Stones. This may be the reason why Keith cannot be killed by conventional weapons.

Who's the guy next to Jackson?

>.<

David Carradine.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I had heard that while Mays did get bonked on the head during the flight... that he was found shot?

I just heard this this morning when my alarm clock went off, and it's a smartazz rock radio station that may have been goofing around though.
