standalone home humidifiers?
« on: December 20, 2005, 10:11:19 AM »
OK. It's cool/cold, we're running the heat, and I'm allergic to dust (...and mold). I need to humidify a large (1300sf) apartment, so no modifications to HVAC system. Please give me recommendations/observations for units that are easy to control/clean/maintain, without being prohibitively expensive, say >$300.

Thanks,

Try these.

I have one in the bedroom. I have dust allergies, and the wife has asthma, but we didn't want the typical ugly machine. I got the smaller floor model from a local store during christmas season last year. About $50.
When the page is loaded, scroll about 3/4 of the way down to see the humidifiers.

Here's a better page...
