Tried the smaller Beneful servings with both my dawgs. They loved it, almost becoming food aggressive...

Skin allergies crept up again, and sure as heck, there's corn in the stuff.  =(

And when they get it spiced as they prefer, don't stand down wind from them!

Also never stand downwind after feeding your dog linguica. Holy crap!

Sage did this with Beneful. Couldn't get enough of it.

Now she won't touch it, just like every other brand of dog food we have tried. I have to switch food probably once a month to keep her interested.

Wouldn't hunger eventually fix that? It would be odd if a dog starved itself to death unless given new food every month.

She'll eat anything eventually.

Problem is it'll take her a couple of days to get to that point and the vet doesn't want her losing any more weight.

My biggest dawg is 1/2 Catahoula, 1/2 St. Bernard.

He's got the webbed feet and nose of the Catahoula, but the hunting drive of the St. Bernard.   =D

I refuse to believe you without pics.  I can't bend my mind around such a mix.

His momma was a full-blooded Catahoula Cur Hound (aka, Hog Dog).  I got to meet her when she was at the pound nursing her puppies.  Once Bernie was weaned, he went home with me.  I should've grabbed his brothers and sisters, in hindsight.

Another thing to keep in mind when reading ingredients is that they are listed by weight. This means that the dry (meal) form of a meat is actually better to see than the wet form, since the wet form is mostly water which is then dried out in processing, whereas the meal form is already dried so more meat will end up in the finished product.

We feed Canidae Lamb & Rice to our two dogs, the first ingredient is Lamb Meal.

Other than the health benefits, another benefit of feeding a quality food is it noticably reduces the volume of crap in the backyard. All the fillers in cheap food just go through the system intact. When we switched to Canidae it was really a significant change. Of course they also eat less of the good food, too.

Yes, to a fault - he follows me into the shower some mornings.

He pushes the shower curtain aside, and hops into the tub.

That's not a bad thing, I keep some doggie shampoo in there, for when his white colors are a bit grungy.

I always remind myself to fix the latch on the bathroom door, but it's become a ritual for him to barge in and hang with his "peeps" while they're bathing.  Weird dawg.

On cooler days, I just wish he'd learn to shut the bathroom door after he comes in.   =D
