Oh.  I did not know that.  And didn't expect it,  ;/   =)

So, anyway, why does it seem so terrible for Christians to - gasp! - proselytize Jews?

Because they generally don't seem too keen on the notion?

I doubt anyone here thinks it's absolutely horrible for Christians (or anyone else) to proselytize.  But are you really surprised that plenty of folks don't think highly of unsolicited proselytizing?

I don't recall endorsing unsolicited proselytizing.  I'm not so hot on it, myself.

Whether he meant it to or not, Brit's comments sounded like a bit of a jab at Buddhism.  I know he meant it as an endorsement of Christianity.  I honestly think he was trying to help Tiger out.  Still, if he had the same attitude to a Jewish or Islamic person I think more people would be angry about it.  Whether or not that is a good thing is up for debate.

Certainly not a big deal though; I think Brit was trying to be helpful.

Also, if you are ever in Augusta, MO swing by the Buddhist Temple... it's a pretty cool building/property.  I'm not trying to convert you, it's just a cool building/property the likes of which you don't normally see out in the hills of Missouri... plus you can get slammed at the wineries on the way home.

Fortunately, the daily practice of Buddhism can be an effective skin thickener.

Brit ain't a sports commentator
This whole Tiger hubbub isn't about sports, it's about a pop culture icon with a pristine, family/business friendly reputation being exposed as a philanderer and the disappointment of his fans and economic fall out of all the businesses he had contracts with thereafter.

Which is why I get so annoyed with third partyers, Ron Paulists, and conspiracy mongers.

But Ron Paul is the only true savior of the American Republic.  Until you see THAT you will always be in the dark about the truth behind 9/11 and the Kennedy assassination.
