So, let me get this straight: There was a problem involving Bovine (meaning "cows"/"beef") Spongiform Encephalitis, so the government of the United States banned ... sheep?

I forgot ... "I'm from the government, I'm here to help."

IIRC, BSE's origin was from feeding sheep offal to cows.  Either way, the same disease is present in both critters, just the cow version got a fancy name.

No good will come of this.
Unless we replace it with a sauerkraut ban.
:O WHAT??! I've just got to have sauerkraut and kielbasa a few times a year.

Ban head cheese & souse

It also got a "street" name. Yer tellin' me that the whole time we really should have been worrying about mad SHEEP disease?

Nobody ever tells me nuttin'.
