My Dad's dog actually snubs the frosty paws a bit.  She will eat them but she gives you a sort of look first as if to say "really dude...  no real ice cream?".  She usually gets 1/2 of one of those single service vanilla ice creams that come with a wooden spoon each night.

My pooch always preferred his ice cream in a cone.  He can't eat a paper cup, ya know.

When I had a dog, she ate what I ate. Very happy dog, too. Well fed on things like beef stew.

Where did she get them?  They have to be cheaper than Blizzards for my bunch. ;/

The Wal-mart I work at sells them in the same aisle as the other ice creams and treats.

My dog doesn't care, but the cone is cuter.  Drawback is, we have to hold it for her.    =)

see, that would be dangourous in my house. well... maybe not with pearl, who is a very lady like eater, but graham and southwest will just inhale your fingers along with their cone.

although, while he doesn't snub ice cream, southwest prefers pizza.

Funny thing about that is that Cocoa, the cutie in the middle, will gently take anything out of your fingers, unless the other dogs are around, then she will grab and likely get your fingers in the process.  Doesn't hurt, just makes me jump.  Boone has always been gentle and Bear who could easily take your hand in the process is so careful his lips never touch your skin.  I sometimes think the more powerful the dog the easier they are to hand feed.

My pooch always seemed to prefer spaghetti with tomato sauce over any other type of people food, even over meat.  He liked pizza, too.

What's up with that?  Is there something about tomatoes that really lights up doggy taste buds?

its weird, all the girl dogs all have the same begging tactics too. even though bandit died years before pearl and sadie came along.

they sit quietly under the table and rest their chin on your knee. they also take food much nicer then the boys.

however, i think a large part of the boys rude habits is becuase dad has a tendancy to toss food or hold it in front of them so the grab, whereas i hold the food in my palm and hold it under their nose. both boys will back off and take things nicely when i raise my voice and remind them of manners.

pearl likes dried spaggetti. the others will eat it if they see her getting it, but she's the one who goes gonzo over it.
and dad's old dog, Northwest, loved tomatos.

dunno, but I have had to chicken wire tomato plants for 3 separate dogs now.  They loved to snitch cherry tomatoes off of the vine as soon as they started turning red!  My parents current dog loves veggies, she goes batshit insane when somebody starts cutting up red bell peppers.  She loves that stuff.

I agree, all the dogs I have had love carrots, the spines out of lettuce, celery, and etc.  One dog I know loves ice, if you get ice from the freezer she recognizes the sound and comes running.

My two young ones love fruits, vegies, and Cocoa loves ice cubes too.

Bernie sucks down ice cubes like they're candy. If he hears the ice cube dispenser in the fridge door being operated, he's front and center posthaste.

I used them as treats when we lived in the heat and humidity that is Spacecoast Florida.

Now that we're safely in Wisconsin, it's fun to watch both dogs fight over the biggest icicles that fall off of the eaves in winter. It's like a fox hunt, they'll dig down through the snow as they see them.

They get flustered when the icicles break off as they come through the door with them sideways, too.   =D
