1911's - this time from Bersa
« on: May 17, 2010, 08:35:54 PM »
I haven't been able to find anything on Bersa's website, but I stumbled across them on Bud's.

Bersa American Classic 1911A1 - https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/49735
Bersa American Classic 2 - http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/178/products_id/49736

Might be these guys? http://www.americanclassic1911.com/

Anybody know anything about them? Bersa is known to make a good firearm for the money and one of these could be nice for the field.

The American Classic is not made by Bersa, and I'm shocked that Bud's would suggest they are.

Bersa is in Argentina. The American Classic is manufactured in the Philippines by Metro Arms. It's a decent, entry level 1911. It is imported by the same company that imports Bersa, which may explain the confusion. You'll find information about it at http://forum.m1911.org

I was wondering why I couldn't find any connection to Bersa!

I wonder how Bud's found it.  =|
