TLC (maybe Discovery, I disremember) made a pretty good case for the airport on Dutch Harbor, in the Aleutians. Alaska Airlines has some specially built 737's (iirc) that are part freighter, part airliner for this service. Gusty winds, nasty approach, set into the side of a mountain, and foggy. Very foggy. Makes that last 3/4 mile flying the Potomac into National look like a picnic.
