What happened to Ross Seyfried?

I googled Ross Seyfried, and found a bunch of forum threads, with people asking what happened to him.  It seems he quit writing for certain publications, due to some controversy or another.  Anybody know what the deal is?

He is/was my favorite gun/hunting writer.  I mourned his leaving Handloader/Rifle magazines.
