BMZ, you are my hero! ;) Nice flooring dude!

Killer gun. I wish i could afford a quality rifle. I would love a nice gas-piston AR with an ACOG on it.

You can smooth things over with the wifey by taking her for a ride in one of the vettes I emailed ya about ;-)

Nice gun.  Good buy.  I agree with leaving it stock.  I have a 10 year old M1A that I finally tried to set up with a scope mount.  It isn't too bad (2" group with some reloads), but I'm not sure it was worth it.  You'd likely be better served focusing on accuracy with the good iron sights.

If you don't already know, the Checkmate Industries (CMI) magazines sold by 44mag.com are good mags that are GI spec.  I have not had any luck at all with cheaper aftermarket mags.  They are okay for practice, but not dependable.

I like that a lot.  A M1A is on my eventual list.

When my wife spends too much money she always breaks it to me with "hey, I saved $XXX today!" It usually turns out that she spent 2*$XXX to save $XXX at a sale. I let it slide, figuring that someday I'll need her to let something slide.

So next time you buy a gun, tell her "I saved $XXX today with this awesome deal!"

Very Nice rifle BTW.

Anyone here tried the M-1A Pmags? I have been reluctant to do anything aftermarket.
