Basically gives the .gov authority to block access to domain names that are hosting copyrighted content without permission.  Critics say this is a step towards widespread and unaccountable censorship of the Internet.  The powers that are given are very broad.  It has the academics up in arms.

Pretty blatantly targeted at all the alternative media outlets, blogs and such that have been influential in politics the last several years.

Watch out for this to pass, as well as the Dream Act.

Haven't heard about the Dream Act.  What is it?

Amnesty and tuition assistance for illegal aliens.

So basically, this is seeking to do something via govt that is already being taken care of via lawyers and such with just the courts.  Typical.

When there is nothing left to say, a lot of people will recognize that what's left is action.

That may be all that's left, but I highly doubt many people will recognize it.

Enough, I'm thinking.  I think many already realize there's no common ground left, no opportunity for serious rational debate, just the prospect of divorce, either peaceful or not.

What is really funny is that when government usually seeks large amounts of easily abused power it is usually for the children or to fight terrorism. Now what are they going to say? "Don't worry about us abusing this new power, we would only ever use it on suspected petty thieves!"
