Most of that stuff is old news to me. I remember all of it including sitting in the dining room in front of the radio, which was taller than me, listening to Buster Brown, The Shadow, The Creaking Door, The Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet , The Bickersons and many others....
I remember the first Italian folks who moved to our neighborhood and introduced the Pizza Pie which was much different than today. I remember the whole neighborhood gathering at the home of the fella who made big bucks and had the first TV.
I remember how McDonalds drove the neighborhood burger joints out of business.
Every generation believes their generation was the best. But I have experienced the Greatest Generation, my dad's, who told me all about his youth which was not much changed from the 17th century actually, in the way of light, heat, getting around and cleanliness, to my own experiences which started out with horse drawn carts of the ice men, horse drawn vegetable carts and the first gas powered milk men who have been out of business for several generations.
