This article doesn't look like it is going to stay up for long, as comments have already been removed & disabled, so here's the, uh, "meat" of the article:

Live fish and baby chicks were tossed during a pep rally at North Side High School last week, leading administrators to suspend off-campus lunch privileges for seniors for two days and cancel future school assemblies. The school was celebrating its mariachi group advancing to state and the beginning of soccer and baseball seasons. During the last few minutes, someone tossed five bags containing small fish and five baby chicks, said school district spokesman Clint Bond. Three of the fish died, and one of the baby chicks was found dead in the auditorium the next day, Bond said.

Now, I am not the most sensitive fellow and generally think that most critters look best on my plate.  I must admit, though, that traumatizing & trampling little critters like this is pretty messed up. 

FTR, the school in question is on the Mexican side of town, with lots of illegals crawling all over the place.  Toss that in with sociopathic behavior and I can only imagine the comments on this article.  Ain't duh-versity wunnerful?

Um... You must be misinformed because North Side isn't "crawling with illegals." There are some, yes, but for you to classify the whole school as Mexicans or illegal is really unsettling. It was not intentional for the animals to be hurt...

Throwing baby animals and then claiming you didn't think they'd get hurt makes me worry [more] for our future.  Can NSHS teach a class in cause and effect?  Seems needed.

how dare you say were all illegal none of you know what actually happen so to say that we trampled on them is kind of idiotic. we saved most of the chicks and fish and for the people that actually did the deed they did get in trouble. dont tell me you never made a mistake and our teachers are great we have a great high school not our fault some people are stupid and once they do something we all go down.

Yeah I made a few mistakes.  I also owned those mistakes, and made sure I avoided them in the future.
Now I'm 2 years away from having a big D and little r (in front of my name) because I didn't blame others for my faults and failings.

Nope. I suppose that makes some sense. But why chickens, too?

When I throw things at people, they are usually for doing harm. Which is why I quit baseball. Headshots don't count for extra points.
