Beer review: Rogue Chipotle Ale

A deep amber ale lightly spiced with smoked jalapeño.

It is good. It has a nice flavor with an aroma of smoked peppers. Very little heat, but the aroma gives it a distinct spiciness even though the flavor has no heat.

It is brewed in Oregon, but I found it in NH, so it is probably widely available.

Of course it does.  It's beer, after all.  ;)

That sounds interesting, Fly320s.  Not sure I'd like it, but it's interesting enough to want to try. I'll keep an eye out for it.
I had my first jalapeno flavored beer in Japan of all places.  It came from a little brewery in Lake Oswego, OR, too.  It was okay, nothing to get excited about.

I had something like that once.  It must have been about 7 years ago now.  Never tried it again.  Kinda made me feel funny in the intestinal region.

And now I've got Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" stuck in my head.

Where in NH?  I'm only there once a month for drill but I'd make an effort to find it.

I used to live a couple of blocks from one of the Rogue breweries.  They make some good beers.  Dead Guy Ale is a particularly good one.  I will have to try the Chipotle, I'm sure I can find it.

I had that a couple years back. It was...interesting. Not something I'd drink all the time, but not bad either.

Heading to the Strange Brew Fest in Port Townsend, WA today. I'll have to share what I discover there when I get back.
