I figured I'd take the opportunity to recommend they go ahead and make them legal and, while they're at it, go ahead and bring all weapons under the State Preemption currently only covering firearms.

The bill is still in committee, like everywhere else we are caught up in budget issues, so it may not move this year.

Anyway, what do you think?

Other than that Federal Law applies so stores will sell to a military ID or LEO credentials holder.

Note that the only weapons controlled by name in Alaska are Gravity Knives, Switchblades and "Metal Knuckles".  Only "Metal Knuckles" are defined in law currently.

Various cities have different regulations on carry of weapons when allowed by state law.

Anyway, here's my letter.
