April 5th and we've got 2" on the ground and it's still snowing to beat the band.

No thanks. You should move to CT where it doesn't do any of that stuff. I don't know why you guys live in all those crazy places anyways... You're more than welcome here where none of that junk ever happens.

Funny part  is last week this time it almost hit 70* here.

We haven't gotten above 96F, yet, but at least we don't have to worry about frostbite.  The cottonwoods started leafing out in late January, and the mesquite is now all greened up.  We're a bit on the dry side, but the El Niño always does that to us.

My rose bushes and Japanese Maple began leafing out in January, and I'm in frigging Virginia!

It was an extremely warm winter here on the east coast.

We had snow early in the season, and at Thanksgiving, in Central Pennsylvania, it was 9 degrees on my parent's back porch one morning when I let the dogs out. At Christmas? It was 50.

Your ice chi is strong Tejon san.

Speaking of hail, did you see the dash cam video of the Tennessee state trooper from Monday night. He's riding down this two lane getting pelted by baseball size hail stones that you can see bouncing across the road, next thing you know he rounds this bend  and there is a tornado filling the left 1/3 of the screen and a tree across the road. shocked

Next sound you hear is some serious rubber being laid in reverse.

We're looking at 18 inches of snow  in higher elevations today and tomorrow. Raining right now.

Ah, England.

An absolutely beautiful day here today, and I'm not being sarcastic. Hardly a cloud in the sky and despite the odd gust of quite cold wind the sun actually had some appreciable strength to it. Daffs are out, snowdrops and irises have mainly gone, the damson tree is not far from blossoming and the wisteria is budding up. Spring.

It's going to rain tomorrow.
I do not like, when with me play, and I think that you also

I'll try and find one. It was broadcast on the local TV affiliate, don't remember what network. Haven't seen it on the net.

Ah, spring is here. Barely below freezing today, hasn't been below zero F since last week. Quite a bit of rain this week, so the snow in the yard is now down to two feet, although it's snowing a bit right now.

What you want is snow and hurricane force wind (so you don't get homesick). I may know a place or two that would be just right... Smiley

It actually snowed pretty good for a while. I went out at ~0930 and the backroads were a mess. Slick...the old van was dancin' a bit. shocked

The old Subaru was dancin' a bit going home from work a few nights ago too, I hit a spot of what I believe you 'murricans call "black ice". Dancin' with full time 4WD and steel studded tyres tends to wake you up, even at 3 am. Cheesy

Yup, When I got my first 4wd with the standard tranny I downshifted in a turn coming over the peak of an icy hill and went for the ride of my life down the other side. Not a good feeling. I had no idea why I couldn't get the thing to straighten back out. Dawned on me later that ALL the wheels had locked up. Shoulda done some fancy double clutching. Hard to do with an auto.

I'd say keep it in a lower gear manually on a day like that. Use the engine compression to slow yourself down.
