Me too.  That was an old one, though.  I wonder what year it was.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but the show Top Gear has a test track that they put cars around, here are the most up to date lap times I could find...

Pagani Zonda F - 1.18.4
Maserati MC12 - 1.18.9
Ferrari F60 Enzo - 1.19.0
Ariel Atom - 1.19.5
Porsche Carerra GT - 1.19.8
Ascari KZ1 - 1.20.7
Mercedes McLaren SLR - 1.20.9
Ford GT - 1.21.9
Ferrari 360 CS - 1.22.3
Porsche GT3 RS - 1.22.3

Anyway, Williams put an F1 car around that track and went comfortably under a minute.

Ariel Atom - 1.19.5
That thing is without a doubt the coolest car I have ever seen that I might be able to afford in my lifetime.  It definitely weighs heavy in the "bang for your buck" arena.  Check it out if you haven't already seen it.

That's a very well done video. The guy in the Maranello needs some practice though. Did you see him almost lose it?

The guy in the Maranello was Eddie Irvine and I think Nicola Larini was driving the Fiat.  The car Schumacher is driving looks like the F310 from 1996.  Very cool.

How much do one of those Atoms cost?  Doesn't look like it would be all that costly.

Well... given current exchange rates, the one in the show would be about $50,889.27

Huh, $50,000 ain't too bad.  Probably would rather have a high end Mustang or Corvette, though.

If you want to see a Top Gear segment then the site that Tarpley linked to - http://www.arielatom.com/ariel/site.php - has Clarkson driving the Atom. Bottom of the front page on the right hand side it says 'Watch the video'. It's quite a long segment.
