I'm not sure how it happened., but when watching DD's Foamy the Squirrel youtube videos, there were ads from Overstock.com in the sidebar.

Chip McCormick 10 round 1911 .45ACP Magazines for $33.49 (That caught my eye)
Startech Shotgun Magazine extensions.
Various Shotgun Stocks.

When O.com carries gun stuff above and beyond crap that women buy (scented candles, clothes and house hold knick-knacks) we're winning.

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

True, Oversock, and even the Sears front-end of Amazon is carrying gun suff too. (lots of affiliates just front-ending through them too)

However, I think it displayed it for you because of tracking cookies etc.

As a Google chrome user, gun and laser, and techie stuff shows up in banner ads almost everywhere I go now.  =|

I've been finding some really good deals on shooting stuff on Amazon. Now that I've bought a few things I see many more in my recommendations. You know we've gone mainstream when Amazon now advertises a "tactical" section to their store. :)

Yikes!  Is that what they're going for these days?  I know I didn't pay over $25 for any of my McCormicks including the 10 round ones.

Does Google Chrome do something to enable this behavior which other browsers do not?

On two occasions, I have been asked [by members of Parliament], "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.

I'm use Firefox, but the fact that they are tracking my cookies is not relevant.  The fact that Overstock.com has GUN STUFF is the important fact.   Like I said they were generally considered to be like a high-end QVC/Home Shopping Channel or Steinmart.  Bascially selling mostly fru-fru crap that women buy.
