Apparently the "Pass" bar is very low, as in "Can you fog this mirror?" low.

you gotta fog the mirror pretty good to get into yale law   or be a legacy
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

our grading system is officially demarcated into Honors, Pass, Low Pass, and Fail, although I personally have never heard of anyone failing. But for all intents and purposes, grades are Honors or Pass,

So if you get in, you pass.

I bet if you call the right admissions person a racist, you could get in.

Sheila Jackson thinks she's Barbara Jordan.  Or maybe she thinks everybody else will mistake her for Barbara Jordan.  (she's no Barbara Jordan, even if she does "represent" the 18th District)

I'd hazard a guess that one's kid could get into any college or university if the path was paved with enough greenbacks or threats of racism.

Or be on the preferred duh-versity list and get admitted with scores for which no member of another group would even get consideration.

IIRC, the last time scores were studied, the highest scorers admitted from particular minority groups were lower than the lowest scorers from white, Jewish, and oriental students.  Race was THE largest factor in admissions, period.

In the case of SJL it IS the joker.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

So if you get in, you pass.

And even then, it took her three years after graduation to pass the Texas bar.  That was even before she had constituents to ignore, disabled employees to harass, or just generally being too busy pissing people off to have time for studying as excuses.

So is that how a "Community Organizer" can get a law degree?
