Party at Fistful's place
« on: July 22, 2011, 04:23:31 PM »
Next year's NRA Convention is in St. Louis, 12-15 April.  We can all crash trash visit Fistful's place, drink his beer, shoot his guns, drive his car, and generally do stuff ensure that make the neighbors start a petition for him to move, (after they try to burn him out).

Anyone planning going?

I do since it's only 5-6 hour drive from Chicago.

(No, I won't trash or crash at Fistful's, but if someone wants to split a hotel room, let me know.)
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

I totally want to put an engine, wheels, and a steering wheel on a longboat.  Maybe a helmet with spikes too.  Only reason to go to St Louis

1. Depends on what his taste in beers and guns is.....cars can always be modified.....  ;)

2. If his neighbors haven't tried to run him off already, I don't think there's much we can do about that....  =|
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

Hey now Rev, St. Louis is a pretty cool town considering its so far from saltwater.

I would think Fistful would be delighted to have us all as houseguests. We are a charming bunch.

St. Louis? If they're trying to finish us all off, why not choose Detroit instead? ;)

So let me get this straight. is it crash AND trash or is it crash OR trash? Just so I'm sure. I'll also need a list of his guns so I can be sure it's worth the trip. Obviously running out of ammo will be his fault.

I would indeed be delighted to have a house (or even a yard) large enough for all of you. Or even one of you. Alas...

But being across the street from Lambert, there are lots of hotels next door.  =|

Lambert is STL's airport.  So Fistful lives right at the end of one of the runways.....

The even better news is that the unit I was with in Germany is having our reunion in STL in July 2012.

Reason being for STL:
1) It's centrally located for everyone  in the US.
2) Ft. Leonard Wood (home of the MP Corps) is not that far away and we're gonna pull some strings and get on Post for a Tour.

I don't  know it I can take that much Fistful in one year.   ;) =D

Hey I'm in. I should be back in the States by then.  Might actually be still on leave and not actually have to go to work yet.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

No problem, this is a pretty handy bunch. I'm sure between the lot of us we can expand your current quarters - few walls here and there. I'll handle the rewiring with all my newly gained knowledge.

What will you be feeding us while we're there? Shall we each send you a list of our ammo requirements? Be sure to have plenty of pillows and clean towels on hand - I'm NOT sharing a towel with any of these guys. No way, no how.

Though of course with your luck, that will be the weekend New Madrid opens up and you'll be blamed for that too.

Yes. And New Madrid will be ever after known as Fistful's Fault.

Hey now, hey now.  We don't want to party like leftist activists on the DC mall, leaving trash and crap all over the place.

First arrange into a WWII bomber formation, Then some 12ga shells, and the following day, rearrange them into a missing man flamingo formation.
