Uhm...

It's Australian, so I'm not sure how it applies to the left here in the United States, even though the US is mentioned...

Well, since the sixth of their points is Opposing Anti-Americanism, and since a few of the signers are American, I thought it might be worth reading.

OK, I just wasn't sure what direction you were hoping to go with it, or if you even realized that it's not a US document.

I'd welcome some sort of similar movement in the United States, but I doubt that it's ever going to happen.

Just as the left claims that the fundamentalists control the Republican party, the right claims that the hard-core socialist element controls the Democratic party, and both have elements of truth.

Reading that reminded me of Monty Python's Life of Brian.  All I can think of is the scene with them sitting in their little safe house talking about what the Romans have done for them.
