Newly uncovered emails show the White House closely monitored the Energy Department's deliberations over a $535 million government loan to Solyndra, the politically-connected solar energy firm that recently went bankrupt and is now the subject of a criminal investigation.

Seems that the WH had their paws deep in monitoring the loan approval for their favored company, Solyndra (sounds like the name of a bad blind date).

Now it seems that the WH is peddling the theory of risk in these volatile new energy technologies.
Of course Solyndra's bankruptcy, layoffs, and criminal investigation are making it a very sticky wicket.
