What do you do with a film SLR these days?

Smith, go to www.apug.org, register, and put it up for sale on their classifieds section.  It's a film users forum and many of the folks there appreciate a manual film SLR.  You might not make much more than on ebay, but you'll at least be sending it to a good home.

Our photography class is still a B/W film class.

My son signed up for (& dropped for reasons that will be obvious) his high school's photography class.  It too was B&W film.  At least in theory...  It was taught by an English teacher, who had them spending all their time writing essays about photography. Sad
