If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

i'm disturbed that deputies witnesses the attack and yet no one was charged
the more so since the deputies were from the attackers county
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

I made the remark a few months ago about some fire ants being pissed off.  Sure enough, next time I was walking my kids to school, my son noted a bunch of ants going ape *expletive deleted*it on a dead bug and said "boy those ants are pissed off!"

Those kids are acting just like thier parents.  Gauranteed.  Between that, and the youtube influence.  Now, they're famous.

My question is that I know my generation growing up didn't do *expletive deleted*it like that.  Now we are the parents so why is it happening now.  Why should we let our teenagers get away with *expletive deleted*it we didn't.  I know my parents raised me better and I'm doing the same with my two.  I'm 43 and kiddos are 18 and almost 16 for full disclosures.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Just how representative do you believe you are of the current generation of parents?

Probably difficult to answer as you most likely do not associate with folks whose parenting style is radically different from yours.

What scares me is that this sort of behavior is either becoming more prevalent rather than just rare and isolated incidents getting more and more attention.  Perhaps our correspondents from (f)GB (sorry, fellas, the dig is not against you personally) would weigh in with their perspective on the influence of socialism and the nanny state?

stay safe.

It's been coming on for years. I don't recall how many years ago it was (at least five, possibly even ten?) we had an incident close to this one over basketball. The visiting team won. Home team fans attacked the visiting team's buses (one for the players and one for the cheerleaders) with CHAINS. A few of the visiting players were injured, but the buses were pretty well trashed.

But this isn't anything more or less than another variation on the mentality that terrorizes a city and burns cars after a World Series win (or loss).
