Maybe someone hear could steer you to a nice set.... =D

I wear a Wigwam Thermax watch cap. It's extremely thin while still being very warm. It also helps that I can get them from work.

Proof that I just look at the pictures and don't read the articles I suppose.

You're fitting in very well here.  A might slow on the uptake at times, mind you...   =D

Another vote for mad bomber hat, which is almost as cunning as the official headgear of the hero of canton.

I think they made status a while back.

We should write an ode to the great moccasins...

But also keeps people from approaching you. When the dog ain't wearin' it, I wear mine at the office and people keep their distance. Especially when it's 75 outside.

Tilley Winter Hat.  Woolly goodness, with tuck-away ear flaps & forehead flap.  And a retaining strap.  LOVE mine in the cold.

These are decent hats for northern winters, aren't butt ugly, and don't muss the hair too much if your going in and out of public places.
Michigan winters pretty much kill fashion sense (with good reason)...as you'll see.  Flannel rules.

Ok, the cunning hat got very little response, so I'll just say this:
If it's cold where you are, MOVE.

End of problem.

That is all.

For small bulk that can stay in a pocket I carry a neoprene with fleece inside face mask, wear it rolled up as a watchcap unless it is stupid cold. Main requirement is to block the wind, something about plowing snow in 10 deg with 30 mph wind really sucks.
