Just thinkin'. Cologne? What do y'all like?
« on: April 10, 2012, 08:07:44 PM »
I use Royal Lyme almost exclusively. Excellent aftershave. Aramis now and then, if the occasion calls for it. Witch hazel if I don't want any scent.

Irish Spring.  Although I've switched to dove to reduce the scent when out hunting.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

I don't always wear cologne, but when I do, I make it Acqua De Gio.

Yeah, except many of the latest posts in this thread comment on soap. I don't mind no actual cologne, but deoderant and a reasonable familiarity with soap is definatly a good thing.

I don't wear any cologne, to many chemicals in it.

Cologne should be picked out by the Significant Other you wear it for, for best results.  An ex-GF of mine was looking at some high-falutin' Dior scent, but while we were (literally) sniffing around, I found something on clearance (can't remember) that got my pulse going. $70 versus $15, not to mention the... er, "positive" response from me, made that decision easy.  She even once had on some Chanel No.5, but whatever that on-sale stuff was, it never failed.  ;)

For myself. it's either Givenchi Pi, which was a gift a few years back and smells like overly-sweet vanilla with a hint of musk and I dislike but wear anyway; or Inis (another gift) that is a bit pine-y and actually kinda refreshing.

If it were up to me, and money no object, I would go with Truefitt and Hill's Trafalgar.  Like Davidoff Cool Water, but cleaner.

My natural manly scent.  Drives the wimmins' wild.  Or away.  Or something.   Also great for preparing surfaces before repainting.

I'm pretty particular about scents. Can't tolerate any Old Spice product, to the point it turns my stomach. I'd far rather just smell clean skin (or soap) than cologne on a man.

I don't use any.  Not something I even really ever considered.

Same here.  I find most of the commercial synthetic scents to be obnoxous and irratating and so have worked to eliminate them from my home.  Body soap, laundry detergent and the like are all color and perfume free for the past 10+ years.

I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.
