Italy is giving away 100 for free. You are just required to turn them into tourist type places, such as a hotel or spa.

My Wife's boss is Hungarian, and owns a 900 year old castle in Hungry.  Quite a place, and thoroughly modernized.  It's my base of operations when we go to Europe.
