I did not know they were doing a TTZ marathon.  Just turned it on; just missed "Midnight Sun", this one looks like "Odyssey of Flight 33"

I just got back from a great fireworks display.  But I was surrounded by people who talked loudly about nothing the whole time.    Lots of cell phones.  And a gaggle of teenage girls (not ugly, but not all that pretty either) walking back and forth in front of everybody like *they* were the show.

We loaded up and drove over to Rich Hill, MO tonight. Great 30 minute display for a small town. With an hour long warm up done by some of the locals in several houses surrounding the main drag.

It was hot but it dropped into the 80's by the time the show started. Now I sit in the A/C having a very tall ice cold adult beverage.

Went to see AMAZING SPIDER-MAN with my wife....great movie....a close second to THE AVENGERS and as good as BRAVE & MIB3.....
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

Spent 3 hours in the ER getting 8x the "normal" dose of IV steroids infused...and have to get the same thing each day for the next 4.
Cue fight/flight feelings and all the other good 'roid side effects.

The only fireworks were in my head due to the splitting headache. :(

Optical neuritis (inflammation of optic nerve).  Left eye vision went from (corrected) 20/20 to 20/50 in 48hrs.
First noticed when my eotech reticle was all blurry!  I was like, it's a collimated beam, it literally can't be blurry... Ruh roh

We went to Louisiana and spent it with the FIL.
Lit off a buttload of fireworks last night.  They seemed cheaper this year than last year.
I've still got almost two packs of m5000's left.  >:D

Son's girlfriend wanted to shoot, never had before.  I think we might have won one to the Dark Side.  She seemed especially taken with my brother's Springfield 1911.  (Full size, all steel, no nonsense.)

I still have one real M-80 left. It is being saved for that moment when someone just needs the crap scared out of them. Or if I need to blow out a block wall.
