Writing Comprehension Fail
« on: October 16, 2012, 07:37:07 PM »
So I'm logged in from home to make some changes to a bunch of users.  I finish it up by emailing all the desktop support techs to remind them what to expect and what to check if any of the users don't get what they expect.  I hit send and only then notice that I changed my wording mid sentence to say this:

Please have all affected users reboot, log in and confirm that all everything is functioning as expected.

*sigh*

Yeah, I know it's a minor thing, but I really hate it when I do that.  I is illiterati.  ;/

Well, "all everything" is much more inclusive than just "everything"  ;)

Kinda like "all y'all."

More better.

Relax, nobody is as harsh a critic of your grammar as yourself.

If that isn't enough, just remember that according to Douglas Adams, an infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of typewriters will inevitably produce Shakespeare.  You're smarter than infinite monkeys, aren't you?

Aren't you?

FTFY  ;)

And should not the title of this thread be "Writing Composition Fail"?

I no longer respect any of you. I hope the following offends you as much as this thread has offended me:
