The oddly shaped Remington razor came, and I tried it out over the weekend.

Nice, close shave, but because it changes my preferred manner of shaving (up, not down), and combined with the shape of the thing, it's taking me a LOT longer to shave.

I also don't care much for the elastic "pivot" points. They're not flexible enough.

I think I'll be using this one primarily as a travel razor, and once the blad cartridgets are gone, I won't replace them.

I got a safety razor for my birthday last month.  Best thing ever.  I will never go back to cartridges.  It took me a couple tries but I'm getting a better shave, with less irritation, in less time than I was before.  I used to shave once or twice a week.  I'm shaving every other day now.
Oh, Lord, please let me be as sanctimonious and self-righteous as those around me, so that I may fit in.
