SR45.  Ohh, interesting.  And, it looks like the P345 is history.

LC380 -- for those that whine about the LCP and LC9 recoil.  Kind of an obvious conversion to do.

What's the difference?

Wonder if they're working on a single-stack version.

Is it just me but do a lot of the service size Ruger pistols just look chunky and could uses a lot of trimming. Sort of like a marble statue that is blocked out but far from finished.

What's the difference?

Wonder if they're working on a single-stack version.

P345 -- single stack, hammer fired DA/SA, the last developmental gasp of Ruger's original centerfire autos, the P-series.

SR45 -- double stack, striker fired, design "owes a lot to Glock".

Probably just an unfortunate coincidence, and it's a 10 round magazine because of the size/form-factor issues with the pistol and the .45 ACP, however, I really wish they'd have announced it with an 11 round magazine, "just because".  =|

A lot of new stuff from Ruger.  The ones that appeal to me in the short term is the re-introduction of the 6-shot Super Redhawk in 480 Ruger as well as a 6-shot Alaskan version.  I HATE RUGER!!  Now I am going to want another gun or three.

The LCR is coming out in 22 mag (6-shot).  The LCP in 380 ACP.  Lots happening.  But then, I still have not seen the new SP-101 in 22LR and it was introduced months ago.

I personally have always believed Ruger's old semi-auto pistols (P85, P95 etc.) were way too chunky and as a result, would never have considered them for purchase.

Sweet!
Maybe Rossi will start chambering their lever guns in .480 again. I had given up hope of ever finding one.

Ruger does do the 480 Ruger in their single shot rifle already.

The 480 Ruger was a big let down with the amount of support Ruger actually gave their first very own caliber.  They made something like 500 5-shot Alaskans in 480 before they dumped it.  This one is listed as a 6-shot.

I would rather have a 480 for bear medicine than the 454 Casull.  You get something like 5 feet of penetration with a solid.

Yes. Once you get away from very limited factory ammo and cast up a mess of 400gr pills, the .480 really shines. I think the bigger , badder S&W X-frame offerings that came out shortly after is what killed it off.

I always thought it was the 454 Casull that killed it when Ruger offered both calibers in the SRH.  No question, the 460 and 500 S&W affected sales.  The 500 S&W is a similar kind of caliber.

This figures, since I just bought an LCR-22. I can't figure out why they would make the 22 magnum a 6-shot instead of 8-shot, though. That takes the sting off a little bit.

It would be interesting to try an SR45 side by side with my M&P 45 since on the surface they are pretty similar.  Not enough to go out and buy an SR45, but still.

The SR45 was due to come...as well as the end of the P345. I won't be suprised to see the P95 get d/c'd next.

Surprised to see a six-shot  .22Mag LCR. I thought they'd at least go for seven rounds so the bolt cuts would be b/t chambers.

Still wish Ruger would make a LCP in  .22lr....and a LCR in 9mm....

but they are very comfortable to shoot.  i am surprised to see the p95 in production again (still?). it just goes to show how popular the design is.

I want a longer barrel, adjustable sight LCR in 22lr.  Also want an LCP in 22lr.

Ruger's autos have never done anything for me.  Their DA/SA stuff with slide mounted safety/decocker always struck me as too big and blocky.  Their recent striker style offerings... the trigger guard looks too small on them.

I don't think anyone is going to miss the P345.

I've never fired one, but I molested one at a gunshop, once. I'll miss them, if I never get to own one.

My first gun was a Ruger P95DC.  Decent gun, but handled like a shoebox with sights.
I'd buy another, but not as a primary.

Davidson's Gallery of Guns has this new Ruger as this month's free giveaway contest item.

However, this is the only way I'd really be interested in getting one.

I never liked the way they handled or the way they looked.  However, they were always reliable, decently accurate, and cheap.  A lot of people bought them and still have them.
