He's definitely conservative enough to royally PO most of the Milwaukee liberal establishment at him, however, he's been wishy-washy on guns in the past, like when CCW was up for debate. He was largely neutral, saying things like he didn't think it would help, but acknowledged that in all the other states it certainly wasn't a problem.
I KNOW what he's
really doing is poking County Exec Chris Abele and Milwaukee Mayor Barrett in the eye, for working against him, and doing what they can to try and mess with his budgets and marginalize him. However I can't think of a better way to do so.
Besides just not liking him personally, the popular black conservative DINO Sheriff is a huge threat to both of them.
