Hugo Chávez está muerto?
« on: February 27, 2013, 09:38:34 PM »
CNNChile reporting it

http://www.cnnchile.com/noticia/2013/02/27/ex-embajador-de-panama-en-la-oea-hugo-chavez-esta-muerto

My Spanish sucks (nonexistent for all practical purposes) and I can't find any confirmation.

I wish ill of no man but I do approve of the developments if true.

It says he was declared clinically brain dead as of December 30th, and that what was left of him was transferred back to Venezuela from Cuba. That's why he hasn't been taking any dignitary visitors lately.

All of this from an ex-panamanian ambassador.

Are not all socialists clinically brain dead?  He should be about ready to return to office.

Looks like he's only mostly dead:

Or maybe he is muerto and Venezuela's VP is waiting for the right moment to announce it (while his staff works frantically to remove all traces of polonium).

And just yesterday he was recovering so nicely.

Maybe he's only mostly dead  ;)

My guess is he's been dead for weeks, and they got the transition thing mostly worked out before they announced.

Don't you remember the way the old Soviet Union used to hem and haw about the health of their premiers?

I think we can remove the ?

I'll go with Lee. I think he's been dead and sitting in pickle juice for awhile while they sort/secure things.

No matter how much power one may gain on Earth, death cannot be avoided...

Who or what fills this power vaccuum, that is the question that requires observation.  The Soviets...I mean Russians...still have any power or influence down there?  The Chinese?  Al Queda?

I think Chavez has been on life support for weeks and they simply pulled the plug.

It is being reported that he amassed over $2 billion during his time in power.  Not exactly the thing a true 'man of the people' does.  I wonder if it will be widely reported in Venezuela, and if it is, how the people will react?

To quote a Kelly Grayson on FB:

Now he's finally a good Communist.

"True men of the people" typically don't become sociopathic dictators. They get killed in secret jails by those sociopathic dictators.

Fidel outlives another one..

There be some that would take odds on that.

Chavez dead.....Castro barely hanging on.....

.....how is Obama's head cold doing?....

Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.
