Local talk show had the owner of the company on today. They're not leaving Oregon. They're just expanding into TX. Rather than expanding their facilities here. Mostly due to OR's somewhat brain-damaged land-use and permitting processes.
The town where we used to live a a company that made industrial grade fabric covered structures. Some of their products were huge and they shipped some for use in Antartica.
The town got all uppity about one clean industry, so they opened a branch in a little farm town about 100 miles away. Eventually the place where they started got so bad about stuff that they moved the entire operation down to
Mudville.
We knew the owners pretty well, as they went to our church.
