Meh. Those kind of safety drills are supposed to promote safety. Doing it on a day the news blathers on endlessly about potential anniversery terrorist attacks seems like a way to insite panic rather then safety.
I could care less about it being insensitive or hurting peoples feelings, but the potential problems arising from people seeing smoke and flames at an airport on 9/11 who don't know whats going on could end up as a pretty big problem.
