Fourteen episodes of classic TV, copyright 1952, on two discs for $1 each.

Yes, they are at Wally World.

Yes, some of the narration, editing, and effects are melodramatic and hokey by todays standards.

The score is still gorgeous. The story is still compelling.  I am keeping my copies.

Great classic TV. I remember when we got our first TV, watching Victory at Sea with my Dad, a WW II Navy veteran on a huge set with a 6" or so round screen. Thought VAS was cool then, haven't changed my mind.

Got it for my Father a few years ago for Christmas. Wonderful stuff. History channel used to do reruns, but doesn't anymore.

Demonstrates what a full committment to war looks like.
"Men, it has been well said, think in herds. It will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one."
- Charles Mackay, Scottish journalist, circa 1841

"Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it." - John Lennon
