Purdue is a Land Grant School, leftist numbers are usually smaller in number at those Universities.

Although they are still there.  The former dean of the Purdue college of Edimacation, pulled her bequest of $1million after the school named the former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-School Choice) as University President.

Texas A&M is considered a pretty conservative school, but the faculty is a pack of leftist liberals.
