OUTLAW DIVISIVENESS NOW
« on: September 27, 2006, 10:39:53 AM »
It has been made clear that divisiveness is the great taboo, and not to be tolerated.  No measure, regardless how sensible, is to be taken if it may be viewed as divisive.

For this reason, it is obvious that we must outlaw divisiveness.  On that, surely, we can all agree.

No we can't.
Seek out wisdom in books, rare manuscripts, and cryptic poems if you will, but seek it also in simple stones and fragile herbs and in the cries of wild birds. Listen to the song of the wind and the roar of water if you would discover magic, for it is here that the old secrets are still preserved.

Clamping down on divisiveness is somewhat like clamping down on a puddle.... you end up wet and with a whole puddle.

mfree's comments are very unfortunate.  While I share his concerns concerning the nuances of defeating divisiveness, his language and tone are very divisive.

I think 280 is being divisive with himself, which is the most divisive way to be.

Isn't it divisive to post one line that says a moderator deleted your comments? Oh, never mind. I think I'll have another stack of pancakes. Or is eating pancakes divisive too?
