I have read/skimmed two articles on this story, and still have very little idea what, exactly, is going on. I don't want to get much further into it. Over the past 15 years, a lot of children, mainly white kids, are/were being used and abused by older assailants, mainly of Pakistani descent. The authorities say that PC pressures kept them from pursuing these cases as they should have. I presume this was going on in some kind of council housing, but I guess the article is written for a British audience that is already more familiar with the facts. Very short on facts. Where are the parents? Was this taking place in an orphanage, or a juvenile detention facility?  But it says the kids were being trafficked into other parts of the country.

Probably foster kids. At least here in the states the foster system is one of if not the biggest pipeline for underage kids forced into prostitution. Fosters are on welfare, in . Gov housing, getting $X per month per kid, and selling them on the side with the "below the age of consent" higher price. Very lucrative really.

Happens here too. One of the things my center on the northern border dealt with frequently was human trafficking into the country from places like Malaysia
