Crude is back into the higher $70s today based on projections for increased demand next year, and RBOB is closing in on $2.23 a gallon.

Locally, the WAWA near my house is down to $2.95.

Last weekend, my brother and I moved our mother to an assisted living facility near them where the grandkids and greats can visit her more than once or twice a year.  On the way up, we got gas in Tuscola, IL, where gas was $2.729.  Back near St. Louis on Monday, prices were still $3.299 and that may be because this area has to be in one of those "ozone zones" being near St. Louis.  [barf]

This is weird.  Or maybe, it just shows us how we are being "gouged".
On the 11th, I was in Tuscola, IL and there were 2 stations there that had gas for $2.729 and $2.739.  Most of the stations closer to the St. Louis area were ~$3.399.
On the 15th, two Circle K stations in this area had dropped to $2.899, a $0.30/gal drop, so I topped off again.
Went by those same stations today and both are back up to $3.279.  (?!?!?)  Go figure.

We're seeing $2.64 here.

Down to $2.85.

A little later today I'm going to be using grocery rewards points to pay $2.29 a gallon.

Well this is a pain in the arse...

Came back into town yesterday. The WAWA, Shell, and Sunoco near my house have all gone back up to $3.09 a gallon. Why? Not entirely sure.

The Shell, actually, hasn't budged. I paid $3.09 (less 80 cents a gallon reward points) when I tanked up just before I left for the holiday.

The odd thing is that the Global around the corner is still sitting at $2.82 a gallon. We'll see if that budges in the next couple of days.

I paid $2.69 a gallon in Castle Key's area.

I finally got around to hitting the kerosene gas station today. It was $5.62, so either we're really cheap, or Mike's area is really expensive.

I've not looked at the kerosene price in awhile, but I suspect that it hasn't budged. My guess is it's so expensive because it's a convenience item here in this area. As far as I know, it's the only station within about 10 miles of me that carries kerosene, and my guess is that they don't sell a lot of it.

I remember when I was heating primarily with a kerosene heater in my first apartment and I felt horribly abused that I had to pay $2+ a gallon for it. Only there (Lewistown, Pa), because of the Amish, just about every station carried kerosene, and as far as I know most still do.
