My wife and I are cruising down the Mississippi. Yesterday in Tunica, MS, unleaded was $2.79 per gallon compared to $3.46 back home north of Seattle.

And the price at the Global popped right back up to $3.25 after two days at $3.19.

Dropped a penny today to $2.73 at our usual go-to station up in Granite Falls.

I just checked Gas Buddy and they are reporting prices in this area ranging from $3.199 to $3.299 but their "maps" aren't showing all the stations they used to show.

Oddly enough, the price of oil has been creeping up, but the price of gasoline has been dropping around here.

Global is down to $3.09, and the Wawa is sitting at $3.14.

The Shell where I buy when I have grocery rewards points is still at $3.29, but right now I have enough points to get $1.20 off a gallon, so that would make it $2.09.

Crude is dropping like a stone today, at the moment down $2.45 a barrel.

RBOB has also dropped below $2 a gallon at the same time.

Passed the Global station near my house yesterday...

$2.99. Finally broke below $3 for the first time in I don't know how long.

Yesterday the Wawa was $3.01.

This morning it's $3.00.

Should be under $3 soon, hopefully.

Looks like December 2022-January 2023 was the last time that the price was below $3 a gallon here in Northern Virginia at the stations near my house.

Damn,

Price has been going down steadily.

Wawa is sitting at $2.90 as of this morning; I don't know what the Global is sitting at since I've not been past in a few days. The Sunoco is at $2.95.

The Shell, on the same street as the Sunoco and the Wawa and all in close proximity, is at $3.14. It's always the highest of the stations in my area, but I frequent it because it's the station at which I can use my grocery rewards.

When I tank up on Saturday, I'll be getting gas for $1.84 a gallon.
