I paid $1.499 for 87 today when I filled up.

The price at the Shell was $2.999 a gallon, but I had $1.50 off in rewards points.

Sweet.

I had to make a quick run to Shoshone, CA today. It is on the edge of Death Valley. The nearest places to buy gas from there is Baker, CA (60 miles) or Pahrump, NV (30ish miles). Also Furnace Creek but I have never been there.

That is the cheapest it has been in quite a while.

Jesus Christ, and people want to expand the California model to other states. WTF?

Price has been sitting at $2.89 at the Global for a couple of weeks. Finally bumped down 2 cents a gallon yesterday.

Not sure whether the Wawa has also dropped or not.

I haven't been keeping track. I paid $2.39 back on 11-27. It was back up to $2.64 today.

It'd been around $2.32 for a few weeks, then overnight it went up to $2.64.  It's been holding around that mark for the last two weeks.

I just looked at my grocery store rewards points, which I use for gas savings, and I've got 1,200 points at the moment and I've not done my Christmas shopping.

So I should have absolutely no problem getting $1.50 a gallon off next time I tank up the Forester.

And the price at the Shell is still sitting at $2.99 a gallon. So... $1.499 a gallon gas!

On Sat. the 21st, gas in the area of Effingham, ILL-ANNOY was $2.829.
Back in my area, prices ranged from $3.179 to $3.299.  IIRC, that is because we are in an "ozone exclusion zone" because of the pollution from St. Louis.

Wawa dropped to $2.86.

See, we were too racist and mysigonist to see that Kamala's policies (well, Biden's, but we all know that he's mentally deficient so it was actually her policies) are working to bring down prices for those whining ungrateful bastards who voted for Trump.

We're currently running $2.69 to $2.89 depending on the station.  Kind of a wide spread for this area.

Stopped by the Buc-ees at the I20/hwy 80 intersection this afternoon.  They have a special where, if you get a car wash, you pay $1.67/gal for 85 octane.
