My prediction?

By the time this finally starts to back the hell off, we're going to be paying over $5 a gallon for gasoline.

Can't trust Gas Buddy
They showed a Circle K station near me at $3.32.
I get there and it's $3.99.
Before pumping the gas I enter into GB it's3.99.
After pumping the gas GB shows it at 3.32 again.
I enter 3.99 again.
An hour later GB is showing 3.32 again.
I think the station is changing it to lure people there.

Oh, and everyone here jumped to $3.99 and up as of yesterday afternoon. A jump of 50-60 cents in one day.
Except for Sam's and Costco. Sam's was $3.44 but when I got there there was a line going down the road.

Unfortunately, that sounds like a reasonable prediction.

And $3.86 in town this morning. If the last few days are an indication, we should be over $4 here by Tuesday.

I’m going to ask on Monday at work if we can go to 4 10s to cut a day of driving out.

Seemed pretty consistent down I-75 from Cincinnati to Atlanta at around $3.69.  Will be in Florida tomorrow and see if things go up.

I filled my gas cans with non-ethanol this morning for $4.04 a gallon, I also filled a can with diesel for $3.99 a gallon.
I always run a few gallons from the shared hose into the truck to clear ethanol so I bought a total of 25 gallons of fuel and spent just a little over $100 dollars.

Sunoco near my house is now up to $4.19 a gallon. It went up 60 cents in I think 4 days.

Double holy hell. I just got back from picking up a burger in town. $3.86 yesterday. $4.16 today. I'm glad I filled up yesterday.

*expletive deleted*ck you, Brandon!

Edit: Interesting - I was just looking at Gasbuddy and the Costco closest to me, one hour ago was at $3.68. Another Costco maybe 10 miles from that one, 36 minutes ago was at $3.78. I would assume that Costcos that close to each other would have the same pricing, so this is all changing very rapidly.

When I arrived at work this morning, the local Murphy station was selling e10 for $3.56.  When I left this evening, the price was $3.79.

I'll be driving from Minnesota to Texas next week.  I expect gas prices to be about $4 a gallon on the way down, and almost $5 when I come back a week and a half later.  I'll be driving the Ford Focus rather than the pickup.  (Wife actually thought we could get rid of the Focus when I got the truck)

I just fueled at a South City Quik Trip - $3.59 for 87 octane.

And... My pump had a partially-peeled off "I did this!" sticker on it. Neighborhood has a LOT of progressives, so I thought that was interesting.

It's getting close to costing me an hour of wages for the round trip to work.

I'm betting the price on gas-sipping cars and motorcycles will escalate even faster than they have been.
