Prices have been pretty steady here the last week or so. Most stations near me are in the $3.35 to $3.45 range.

Crude oil, on the other hand, has taken a bit hit the last two days. Last Friday it closed at around $73 a barrel. Right now in premarket it's sitting at $67.50.

RBOB is also dropping, but not nearly as much. My guess is that's being supported by the anticipated summer driving season.

Oil and RBOB are dropping pretty hard today for some reason.

Oil's below $70 a barrel again. We'll see how long that lasts.

Can you send some of that (the decline) up this way?  Thanks.  It's still about $3.50 in MN.

Been holding steady here in NOVA for a couple of weeks. The Global was down to $3.25 a gallon for awhile, but a few days ago it tipped up to $3.27.

The Wawa went up to $3.29.

Washington state has the most expensive gasoline:

https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/21/business/california-no-longer-most-expensive-gas/index.html

The story doesn't say, but I'm assuming new taxes? I know part of it is the same thing that affects ID, OR, and MT - refineries and geography.

Government charges companies a tax (or government imposed fee if you prefer), and then are shocked when that gets passed along to customers?

Wow, who could possibly have foreseen such a thing?  As I've said before: Corporations do not pay taxes.  Ever.  Employees, customers, and shareholders pay all taxes assessed to corporations.

Of those three, usually it's going to be the customer.  Governments know that, and don't care.  It's a backdoor tax on everyone that they get to blame on the companies.

Oil prices have been moving up steadily the past few days, now sitting at $77 and change for WTI, Brent is over $80.

Virginia raised its gas tax at the start of July, so wheeee... here we go with gas prices again.

Currently sitting in the $3.35 to $4.29 range in my area in Virginia, with most stations around $3.45.

Prices here have been mimicking a mexican jumping bean.  Went from ~$2.79 to $3.22 in two days.  Stayed there for a while, dropped down to $2.99, then back up to $3.26, then down to $2.79 and now it's back up to $3.22.  All in a period of ~3 weeks.

Yep, pretty much same here in Northern Virginia. And I've seen several stations moving closer, or even over, $4 a gallon for 87 octane.

Still outliers, but I think it's going to be a lot more common to see as we get deeper into the summer.
