It's actually dropped a bit here the last couple of days... from $3.75 to $3.69 at the WAWA.

Other stations are still at $3.79 and $3.75.

Forty-ish miles outside Dallas it was $3.43 yesterday.  At the city limits today it was $3.18.

Down in the big city (Las Vegas) yesterday I saw 4.59 for regular and 5.03 for diesel. Our prices run right at 50 cents per gallon lower across the board.

It's easy to imagine that by the end of the second Biden term, damn near all fossil fuel production will be shut down in the US.  The way I expect it to go, coal will have been banned completely.  New natural gas and oil production will be banned.  Existing wells will be allowed to peter out.  No new well drilling will be allowed.  Refracking of old wells will be banned, as well.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

Gas prices have jumped 50 cents a gallon here in the past 2 days.   Not sure if they jumped today or yesterday cuz I didn't get out yesterday.  It was quite a shock when I tried to fill up the car this afternoon.  (so I just got $10 worth to put it off a week; I don't drive much)  I wish I had filled the truck up a week ago.

I have oil and gas stocks and royalty trusts, and they don't seem to be doing much or else drifting down, so I don't think it's the evil oil companies doing the gouging.  (they are evil, but I'm okay with that)

Prices had been slowly trickling down over the past few weeks, but now prices are starting to move in the other direction.

Crude oil prices are also on the hard upswing right now, pushing $90 a barrel for WTI.

I would say it has crept up here locally but I was out last night and diesel at the local Chevron was trying it best to punch through 5 dollars a gallon on the sign (4.999) so far all purposes it has hit 5 dollars a gallon again. Of course I knew the price was inching up the other day (9/8 was 4.529) when I filled less than half a tank (22 gallons) and when I looked the pump it was enthusiastically passing 100 dollars. Thankfully it stopped at 102, which it would not do today.  :(

We're running about $3.40 around here.  If he keeps working at it Biden can push the prices up to $4 or $5 before the election.

$3.599 last Thursday, $4.099 on Friday, $3.999 on Monday, $3.879 today.

I went to NW Wisconsin and back over the weekend, $180 was my fuel cost. Approx 500 miles.

My truck does get crap for MPG.

Odd thing going on in my area the last couple of weeks...

The price of crude has been going up pretty steadily the last few weeks. It's been over $90 a barrel, but today at least has dropped back under that level.

But gasoline in my area has been dropping in price.

The one station dropped 9 cents a gallon the last few days. Other stations have also dropped, but not by that much.

Weird.
